250 Lusso

The true Ferrari enthousiast couldn't have missed it; on May 18th, 2008 the een Leggenda e Passione auction in Maranello took place. In this auction the Ferrari best of the best were displayed and sold.

One of the most outspoken cars was the 250 GT Lusso from 1963 which, in the past few years, has been restored by the Forza Service.

The body spraying was left in the capable hands of by Auto Classica Rubbio in Nederhorst den Berg. Afterwards the bare body was brought to us and our team did a full technical restoration. During this restoration the engine and the gear box were completely overhauled and every part of the suspension was restorated.

The engine compartment was rebuilt, new cables were put down, the dashboard was installed and the electrical wiring was replaced and connected. We also set the windows and rebuild the doors. Shortly after Henk van Lith flawlessly reupholstered the car making sure to use original materials and staying closely to the original.

The Ferrari Classische inspectors in Italy were extremely enthousiastic about the end result and had no points of criticism. Worldwide we have received many complementary articles in the press for our restoration of the Lusso. During the auction it was sold for a fenomenal €759.000,00! With pride we would like to show you some quotes:

"The car has just recently completed a full body-off restoration under the guidance of the present owner. This painstaking restoration lasted four years, during which time every detail was researched with the utmost detail. The current owner did not want to entrust the car to one restoration shop, but instead sourced the best specialists for each element of the restoration; the car was sent to the best body shop, the best trimmers, and of course the best engine builders for the restoration of the V-12 engine. The full restoration was documented with photography of each step and the ?restoration file? will be given to the buyer."
